I'm an associate professor and environmental economist in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability at the University of Oklahoma. My research has taken me to 30+ countries around the world. My research affiliations before joining OU were University of California at Berkeley and University of Texas at Austin. I'm working on a variety of topics related to natural resource, environmental, bioenergy and agricultural economics. My current research focus is on water economics, desalination, biofuels, sustainable resource management, and geospatial and spatio-temporal analysis.

I'm a faculty team member for the National Science Foundation (NSF) EPSCoR project ‘Adapting Socio-ecological Systems to Increased Climate Variability’. I'm working on socio-economic and ecological system models to examine interactions of climate variability, ecosystem services and cultural values in Oklahoma.
